Tonight I chatted to Shaun from Bristol hip-hop trio The Scribes, just ahead of their two appearances at Boomtown Festival over the weekend. They’ve already had a very busy summer of live shows in the UK and Ireland, including Latitude Festival, and have an impressive tour schedule that will take them through to the end of the year. They have also just released a new EP, Totem Trilogy Part 1, and we got a preview of what to expect from their next release in the form of new single The Shipwreck, alongside the unusual story of how they met the creator of the artwork for their EP trilogy, and how their sound has evolved over the past 15 years.
The Scribes can next be seen in London at the Magic Garden on September 10th, and you can get their full tour dates, releases and social media links at www.quillequipped.com.
