The Brentwood Nutcracker trail- Sarah Walmsley on Drive

Have you been noticing any rather large nutcracker kings hiding in your favourite store fronts lately? Sarah Walmsley from the Brentwood Council joined me on drive today to explain why…

With so many festive events sadly being cancelled this year, and the lighting up Brentwood celebrations going virtual, (happening this Wednesday on the Brentwood Council Facebook page- don’t miss it!) the council wanted to make sure there’s still a fun and festive event that everyone can physically take part in.

There will be 12 Nutcracker Kings hidden around  Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone between Thursday 3rd December and Friday 8th January, and all you have to do is find them, and write down their names, and submit them either online or into one of the designated post boxes, for a chance to win prizes such as a Nintendo Switch Lite or an Amazon Fire Tablet!

Get the whole family outdoors for a festive adventure this Christmas, and don’t forget to take some photos with the Nutcrackers and post them to social media so we can all enjoy the experience together! Please remember to maintain social distancing and follow current covid guidelines while participating though!

To download the map and trail sheet, go to Brentwood Council Events , and to listen again to my interview with Sarah, just click play!
