Psychotherapist and Wednesday lunchtime Phoenix98FM presenter James Roast joined me this evening. He felt that we were in a far more positive climate with people more willing to talk about mental health. James noted that we as a species in which relationships are very important. There is always the possibility of any relationship having difficulties. He felt that his radio show, ‘The Happiness Algorithm’ was a platform where people who had been through difficult experiences could talk them through openly. This would help anyone listening to see that their own issues were not unique and this would be helpful in the process of self understanding. James lockdown experience, with all his clinics moving to being on line, has meant that without a lengthy commute he felt he had much more time. This enabled him to appreciate his family and nature far more. James felt life is not lived as either happy or sad. There are many shades of grey and we live within these most of the time.
