Curveballs 25th April 2018 (with Natalia Marrokin in session & Ivy Jelisavac on the phone)

First up tonight I chatted to London-based film maker Ivy Jelisavac. Ivy has just produced a new web series, Relationshit (or ‘Relationbeep’ as we referred to it in the interview!), which is currently on the film festival circuit. As we found out, the show’s production was a fascinating story in itself, being written, directed & costume/set designed (among other things) by Ivy herself, and even featuring an actor who went on to a Star Wars role! Ivy and her production company The Friction are currently developing a new feature film (click the interview to hear more about that) and many more new projects – keep up to date on their latest news at www.becauseivy.com, www.the-friction.com & www.relationshit.tv.

Next up I was delighted to be joined by Mexican singer-songwriter Natalia Marrokin (second right) and her band in the studio for a live session. Natalia joined us on the latest stop of her ten-day promo tour of the UK promoting her new album, Indigo. We chatted about her interest in music from an early age, the recording of her album, and her plans for the summer – hopefully she’ll be paying these shores another visit soon! The album is out now – find out more on Natalia’s website, www.nataliamarrokin.com – and you can see two tracks from it, performed live in the studio, below:
