Eye to Eye

Eye EyeToday we examined the story of the woman who turned up for a cataract operation with 27 contact lenses in her eye!

The discovery was only made when the patient was being prepared for the surgery which is pretty amazing given the number of examinations that are normally carried out prior to the operation being agreed.

The patient said she had been wearing monthly disposable contact lenses for 35 years but did not attend regular appointments.

The lenses, which resembled a ‘blueish mass’ in the 67-year-old patient’s eye, were causing the woman discomfort that she simply attributed to dry eye and old age.

Strangely the woman did not report any symptoms in an assessment prior to surgery but did say that two weeks after the lenses were removed she felt a lot more comfortable.

Well there’s a surprise!

And not seeing eye to eye are a couple from Leeds.

Posessive girlfriend

The girl apparently called police alleging that her boyfriend had attacked her but after he was taken to the police station, she withdrew the complaint. Meanwhile her other half told police that his girlfriend was over possessive and he wanted “out”.

Amazingly the police officers offered to help, discovering in the process, just how possessive she could be when they were involved in a car chase which ended in her colliding with the police vehicle and smashing through a security barrier.

The lady in question is now serving 18 months behind bars, but strangely the object of her affection is visiting her in jail.

Funny how love can be!

See you again tomorrow,
Scott
