I never ceased to be amazed by the human condition and today proved no exception as we learnt about the father of 7, who after 23 years of marriage has decided to abandon his family and live life as a 6-year old girl!

The newly adopted family are seemingly comfortable with her living with them as a little girl, and now relieved of adult responsibilities, she spends her days happily playing with toys and colouring books.

She originally planned to live as an 8-year old but changed to being 6 so as to be the youngest!

So what does she want for Christmas, I wonder.

Coming back to reality, Margaret Mills looked back at the Essex connections with the First World War nurse, Edith Cavell who was, of course, charged with treason and executed by the Germans for aiding the escape of allied servicemen from German occupied Belgium.
