On today’s show we heard about the woman who’s trained her dog to share a large amount of her housework. Apparently it can do the weeding in the garden, take out the rubbish, sort out the clean laundry and collect ingredients for a meal. Not sure I like the sound of it dribbling all over the spuds and clean washing, but weeding the garden looks like a good idea.
Margaret Mills joined me today and related the story of William Kempe, a one-time owner of Spain’s Hall near Finchingfield, who it seems took a 7-year vow of silence in penance for chastising his wife – and I suspect, lived to regret his decision!
