The Conservatives won 11 of the 12 seats on offer in this year’s borough council elections, putting Conservative Group Leader Louise McKinlay back in charge at Brentwood Borough Council.

The new make-up of the council is Conservative 23, Liberal Democrat 10, Labour 2, Brentwood First 1 and Independent 1.
