It’s been all over the news that Jeremy Clarkson was suspended last week after a fracas with a producer, so this week we are looking at other naughty & rebellious celebrities.
Adele
It was all thanks to a love for Will Young, the first ever winner of Pop Idol in 2002, that Bond Singer Adele got suspended from school. She ended up fighting with rivals who were gunning for Gareth Gates – the runner up of Pop Idol. Adele explains by saying “Will Young was [her] first proper love. [She] was obsessed. The Gareth Gates fans were horrible to [her] and [she] wasn’t having any of it. [They] had a fight and [Adele] was called into the head teacher’s office and sent home. It was serious.”
Lily Allen
Lily Allen has been quite controversial in the past and the reasons she got expelled from school may not seem as bad as you would expect from her but never the less they are valid reasons for any student to be expelled. Allen admitted that she did ‘things that [she] shouldn’t have been doing with boys that [she] shouldn’t have been doing at that young age. Smoking cigarettes, drinking.”
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is one for wanting to stand out and usually uses her clothes to do so. Who can forget her meat dress that she wore to the 2010 VMA’s! She’s also been in the headlines for her clear admissions of drug use and comes from a background of working in strip clubs before she become famous. Apparently she has massive body confidence which is evident in the outfits she wears.
Ne-Yo
Ne-yo broke the law in 2008 for reckless driving without a licence! He was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol at the time, clearly just a bad driver!
Snoop Dogg
You might not think it now but Snoop Dogg actually went to a school for gifted students, this might be stereotypical but it could have been quite posh – unlike Snoop. But this part of the story sounds more like him, he was very naughty and was immediately suspended when he showed his privates to the rest of the class!
Bruno Mars
Being arrested is can be a common thing that singers get pulled up on. One example is Bruno Mars; back in 2012 he was arrested in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine and was even highly intoxicated at the time. To make things worse he lied to the police telling them it was his first time of using.
Kesha
Kesha isn’t around much anymore in the media but she has don’t some weird acts in the past which got her noticed. One of these includes weeing in the street, and taking a picture of it. If that isn’t bad enough she then posted it on Twitter saying ‘Pee Pee on the street, Popo come and get me if you can find me. I blame traffic’.
And it seems like she has some sort of obsession with her own urine as in a TV documentary she was filmed drinking it. She was told it was good for her so she was trying to be healthy but she found it gross so she doesn’t do it anymore which is good to hear.
Kayne West
So it’s been announced that Kayne West is going to be headlining at Glastonbury this year, and there’s a lot of people who are not happy about this as there is a petition against him performing. Wonder why? Well the first though is his mainly muted performance at this year’s Brit’s due to his swearing. Talking of award shows he jumped up on stage when Taylor Swift won the Best Female Video at the MTV Video Awards to voice his opinion on who should have won and he has also been arrested for theft and has attacked the paparazzi a few times.
Miley Cyrus
People thought it was bad when Miley Cyrus posed topless for a professional photograph before she was 18, but let’s look at what she has done since. In a bid ‘to distance herself from her Hannah Montana she has taken part in controversial actions including a change of fashion style, explicate song lyrics, music videos and more photo’s, scandalous dancing and of course Twerked on married Robin Thicke in front of thousands of people at the VMA’s.
Justin Beiber
Usually if people are going to go through a rebellious stage it’s in their teenage years. The problem is if you’re a mega world wise super star then you outbursts are going to gain media attention and this is certain the case for Justin Beiber. Throwing wild parties, wreck less driving and taking part in vandalism – including throwing eggs at a house which he is still on probation for and has to pay £17,000 in damages for assault and battery, trespassing and infliction of emotional distress. Although he has apologised for all he has done – how long is that going to last before he does something else!
Chris Brown
Chris Brown seems to have trouble controlling his temper, after being all over the news for being domestically violent towards then partner Rihanna in 2009, he continued to reveal his anger management issue when he was questioned about it on an American TV programme, he stormed off and through a chair through the studio window! That didn’t do much to improve his public image.
Rihanna
Often taking to social media to show he rebellious side, Rihanna often posts inappropriate pictures including drink and drugs and she even got thrown off a farmers land for being too raunchy during filming for her music video ‘We Found Love’.
Cheryl
We know that Cheryl Fernandez Versini can be quite feisty and it all started when she was at school! She was suspended twice for fighting and dropped out at the age of 16 to pursue her musical career.
