On a cold night in Brentwood, we decided that what were needed tonight was two hours of rest and relaxation. Add to the mix a number of sixties and county tracks, with a little jazz and the R & R was complete. With four folks in the chatroom and e-mails being busy there was lots of contact tonight both about the music and also the news stories. A story about Christmas trees being taken to Linton Zoo in Cambridge as the lions treat them like catnip meant we speculated on left over presents that could be taken to the animals – like slippers for penguins and jumpers for kangaroos. With the theme for the T.V. detective show Hill Street Blues there was lots of reminiscing about the show, the characters and their catch phrases. We also all fancied a castle for sale in Scotland for £325,000 but thought it slightly too far to commute. There was also a cafe in Ireland selling 35 varieties of crisp sandwich. We thought there were local business opportunities here.
