Friday Night Extra 19.9.14 Home alone

Tonight’s show was dedicated to Paul and Geraldine in Ingatestone. When I told them there were no guests this week they said, “Poor Patrick. Home alone”. We were busy in the chatroom and there were lots of comments relating to the stories we covered tonight. These included tales about sleep walking following a Norwegian girl walking miles. We also heard about a study in China where Buddhist chanting had been played through fifty loud speakers into paddy fields. The rice crop had increased and there were fewer pests. Most conversation was about scientists in Canada developing a chin strap that can generate electricity through chewing. There were many comments about who would be generating the most.

Tonight’s playlist.
Booker T & MGs – Crazy – show theme
Dolly Parton – Lay your hands on me
Zombies – She’s not there
D’UKes – A message to Ruby – recorded live at Phoenix Fridays
Gerry Rafferty – Baker Street
Crusaders – Street life – tribute to Joe Sample who has passed away.
Joe Sample – Rainbow seeker – from his 1997 album Joe Sample.
Carpenters – Close to you – requested by Marjorie
Rhonda & the Great Unknown – Happy – recorded live at Phoenix Fridays
Coldplay – Viva la Vida
Emerson, Lake and Palmer – From the beginning
Lady Antebellum – Golden
Cilla Black – Alfie
Queen – Is this the world we created? What a great track!
Sting – Nice work if you can get it
Hot Chocolate – Everyone’s a winner – requested by Patrick
Tony Christie – Is this the way to Amerillo – requested by Michael
Chicago – Make me smile
Gregory Porter – Sweet county love song
Gary Barlow – Requium
Blood, Sweat and Tears – Smiling phases

Join me next week when my guest is Gary Seithel from ‘On the move East’ who will be telling us about the free BBQ at Ingatesone Parish church on Saturday 27th between 11.30 a.m – 2 p.m. Join me at the BBQ as well.
