First up tonight I was joined in the studio by Mark Oliff to chat about the upcoming Castle Reunion event at Eclipse nightclub, Brentwood on March 26th. A night of throwbacks to the Castle’s punk era-inspired nights of the 70s, 80s and 90s is promised at the event, and you can get your hands on tickets by visiting this link on Facebook. Click above to listen back to the interview, including Mark’s many stories of clubbing with skateboards!!

Next up it was the turn of the MBG, a new local foursome featuring (l-r) Sam (vocals/guitar), Laura (drums), Ben (bass) alongside guitarist James. The band have just released their debut single Fields which is available as a download from their Bandcamp page. Following on from their appearance at Billericay’s Ivory Rooms earlier this week, they’re currently booking more shows, including a set at the New Cross Inn in London on April 10th – stay tuned for more shows and news via their Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr pages. Click above to listen back to the interview and their stories of what MBG stands for and how everyday household rooms and objects have shaped their recording…
