Playlist for 1 February 2012 (AOTW: Mull Historical Society – City Awakenings)

My album of the week was Mull Historical Society’s City Awakenings, which was released on 23 January on Xtra Mile. A bit of a return to form for Colin McIntyre, whose albums I always enjoy more for some reason when released under the MHS name. There’s no particular rhyme or reason, I just think I enjoyed my afternoon in Tobermory a couple of years ago. I enjoyed this album too!

Tonight’s playlist:

Metronomy – The Look (Two Inch Punch’s Shook Shook Rework)
Feeder – Borders
Justice – On’n’On
Mull Historical Society – The Lights
Cut Ribbons – White Horses
Georgina Plumley – A Thousand Years
Dodgy – What Became Of You
Brompton Mix – Miles Away (Phoenix FM session 25-01-2012)
Nada Surf – Waiting For Something
Baddies – Bronto
Eliza Newman – Out Of Control
93 Million Miles From The Sun – Theme From Sparta Cigarette
Mull Historical Society – For Bas, The Hague
Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks – Stick Figures In Love
Vile Electrodes – Play With Fire
Kaiser Chiefs – Little Shocks
Saint Etienne – Tonight
Others – Superbok
Sweet Billy Pilgrim – Brugada
Fiona Bevan – Us And The Darkness
Mull Historical Society – Must You Get Low
Majeur – She Was Gone (835 remix)
Heroes Of The Mexican Independence Movement – The Singer Inside Us All
Spotlight Kid – Don’t You Forget About Me
