We heard today about the man suing his new bride for deception after he saw her for the first time without make up. He said that she had always appeared beautiful and attractive before the wedding but on the morning after, not only did he fail to recognise her without her war paint, but mistook her for a burglar!
As regards a deception on a grander scale, Margaret Mills presented some evidence suggesting that William Shakespeare might not after all have been the Bard from Stratford on Avon, but rather Edward DeVere from Hedingham Castle.
