The St George’s Day Ale Trail is back!

Brentwood Brewing Company will once again be celebrating St George’s Day in style with a day of competitive pub games and general tomfoolery.

The annual St George’s Day Ale Trail will start from The Swan in Brentwood High Street at 3pm on Thursday 23rd April. The itinerary is as follows:

3.00pm The Swan – Choir Practice
3.30pm The Merchant – England v Germany table footy
4.00pm The Brave Nelson – World Record Beer Mat Flipping attempts
5.00pm The Plough, Hutton – Killer Pool tbc
5.45pm The Hutton Junction – Practicing for re-run of Agincourt (darts)
6.30pm The Rising Sun – Shredded Wheat eating competition
7.15pm Old Brentwoods RFC – Beer Pong tournament
8.00pm The White Horse – Dambusters (don’t ask, all will be explained)

Anyone aged 18 or over is very welcome to join in on the annual St George’s Day outing, arranged as part of the brewery’s ambition for England’s Patron Saint, St George, to get the recognition he deserves and for the 23rd April to be made into a Bank Holiday for everyone to enjoy.

Obviously, Brentwood Beer will be available at each hostelry to satisfy the needs of all discerning and thirsty revellers.

Please note timings are approximate and subject to complicated mathematical calculations explained simply as beer consumed versus time multiplied by distance between each pub.

Brewery head Roland Kannor said, “We hope you will support St George by joining us on this daft quest.” For further details call 01277 200483 or email enquiries@brentwoodbrewing.co.uk.
