Brentwood Foodbank: April update

Dave Woskett, Brentwood Foodbank volunteer provides us with this update:

Good morning to our kind supporters. We hope that you have had a Happy Easter and that you are all keeping well.

We have had some highs and lows over the last few weeks. We had a day where we fed 153 local people in one session and we could see our already depleted stock getting lower and lower. The Foodbank has received some fantastic donations of Easter eggs this year and it has been such a joy to share these with our clients’ children. It’s a small treat and doesn’t stop the poverty and hunger that so many are experiencing. However all of the children were overjoyed to be getting chocolate eggs.

We are so fortunate to have your support and hope and pray that you will be able to continue this support. Our numbers are going up all the time and it would be impossible to feed this many people without your support and the local community’s support.
