Get this man working for UK GB!

Wandsworth PrisonI doubt that many people would disagree that governments the world over are probably pass masters at misinformation and deceit so when an individual surfaces who demonstrates a real skill and aptitude for deception and fraud, it must surely be to everyone’s advantage that his talents are put to good use rather than simply locking him up.

Judging by some recent news exposes this happens all the time!

But today we heard about a 28-year old Ilford man, Neil Moore who, for some reason didn’t want to stay in Wandsworth Prison any longer than was necessary, and as prison authorities are generally loathe to allow inmates to go free, cooked up an ingenious plan to get out. Rather than the daring prison escapes portrayed in the movies, our hero (and in my eyes, at least, he is), using a smuggled mobile phone, set up an email imitating Her Majesty’s Court Service and posing as a senior court clerk, confirmed that bail had been agreed and authorised his release.

Bearing in mind that he was being cared for at Her Majesty’s pleasure for fraud at a spectacular level, it might have been wise for the prison authorities to have taken a little more care before letting him go free.

But they didn’t!

Prior to taking up residence in Wandsworth Prison, he had, after all, reportedly posed as staff from Santander, Barclays Bank and Lloyds Bank, and managed to convince corporations such as Volkswagen to hand over large sums of money, even answering calls using both a man and woman’s voice, switching identity mid-call. So convincing was he that police also charged his partner with the crime, before dropping the charges against her. Having handed himself in and pleaded guilty to one count of escape from lawful custody and eight counts of fraud, he is now due to be sentenced on 20th April. Find him a job I say!
