The Rubettes’ first and biggest hit was Sugar Baby Love (1974) which became a number 1 in the UK, going on to sell around 500,000 copies here and three million copies globally.
The band went on to have 9 UK top 40 hits in the 70’s and smashed the charts all over the world!
Now two of the original members of the band, Mick Clarke and John Richardson have formed a new band “The Sugar Baby Loves” and have a new single out’ looking back to those days – “Born to Do It”
It was a great pleasure to welcome Mick Clarke to the studio today.
