In this occasional series of programmes we aim to tell the story of the 70s. The music, the news, and some of what happened each year of the decade. We’ll also hear some of the toe curling and not always politically correct advertising of the 1970’s!
In this second show we revisited 1971. A year that saw the introduction of decimal currency in the UK, the very first episode of the iconic TV music show The Old Grey Whistle Test with “Whispering” Bob Harris, and George Harrison’s Concert for Bangladesh.
