BRENTWOOD Bowling Club are once again holding their exciting Bowls Bonanza Open Weekend on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 (both days 10 am – 2 pm).

The Bonanza is for ALL members of the public who have an open invite to come along and try lawn bowling at Brentwood’s superb headquarters in King George’s Playing Fields, Ingrave Road, Brentwood, CM13 2AQ.

All equipment, expert tuition and refreshments will be available, so just turn up and try one of the fastest growing sports in the UK which appeals to players of ALL ages.

Bob Theobald, the club chairman, said: “Please come and give bowls a go – we are a very friendly and welcoming club and the Open Weekend is the perfect way to see if YOU want to take up a new sport.

“Our experienced club members will be on hand to offer coaching and advice and whether you just want to be a social player or take part in club events and external competitions and leagues, lawn bowls is an ideal way to make new friends.

“I guarantee that everyone will receive a very warm welcome and this is the perfect opportunity for people of all ages who have never tried bowling to give it a go.

” Brentwood BC is an ambitious club and there was an excellent 20 per cent increase in playing members over the winter. The club has a number of exciting plans in the pipeline and is looking forward to the future with great optimism.

If you can’t make the Open Weekend then you can still enjoy FREE taster sessions every Tuesday and Thursday mornings (10 am – 12 noon). Once again all equipment and coaching will be supplied, so just pop along and have a go!
