Cancer Research fundraisers Chris & Bob Waters.
One 2 Three
Patrick Sherring

Regular listeners Chris and Bob Waters talked about fundraising for Cancer Research. This had begun when Bob was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 1990. Involvement with the group in Harlow began for Chris as mutual support with others in similar positions. It has developed into something that Chris said, “I could not imagine life without”. Her fundraising has involved participating in many activities. She loves making and knitting all kinds of things that are sold regularly on a stall. Twice she has participated in the Race for Life. Over the years the group have raised more than £100,000. They both emphasised the importance of fundraising for research and that the treatment that Bob received had now improved for anyone diagnosed now. Chris also said that the treatment for Bob had meant they are parents of two more children, who with their older sister have all been involved with fundraising activities.
