Daphne has lived in Billericay for 65 years. Before that she lived in Shenfield, Mountnessing and Southend.

As we’re coming up to Christmas I thought I’d chat to Daphne about her life in our local area from the 1930’s to the present.

Today was mainly about the wartime years when Daphne was growing up in Shenfield, The bomb damage, and tales of Christmas during that time as well as one of her favourite Christmas tunes.
