This week I was joined by special guest Ric Prescod, committee member and Thurlow Nunn League representative at Clapton Community whose men’s first team are going great guns in their first ever season at non-League step six, as they currently top the Thurlow Nunn Division One South.
But as Ric explained during our chat, the club is focused on much more than one senior men’s side. You can hear our conversation 34 minutes into the podcast.
As always there was a round-up of results from the last week, including a couple of match reports – one from Jack Patmore who watched Billericay Town’s superb 3-1 win in the second round of the FA Trophy against National League North leaders Tamworth, and the other from Andy Gardener who watched a thrilling Essex Senior Cup third round tie at the Brentwood Centre Arena on Thursday night, which ended in a 3-2 victory for Brentwood Town over Tilbury.
I also did my usual summary of the forthcoming week’s games.
