What is it with more and more companies trying to get us to do their own work for them? Councils too.
Serve yourself tills in supermarkets that don’t always seem to know when you’ve put an item in your bag or won’t scan the item, Rail Ticket offices closing to leave commuters at the mercy of machines that often go wrong, Car parks that refuse to take cash often leading to long queues at the ticket machines.
Humans are imperfect. Machines can go wrong and the technology isn’t up to the job often needing human intervention.
Jobs being cut and being replaced by these imperfect machines obviously to save money and increase profits.
Nobody wants it.
The only way to get that message across is to refuse to use these ghastly machines whenever you encounter them – if you can.
