Last week Margaret Mills was looking at Wickford’s claim to fame – THE DARBY DIGGER and this week Margaret returned to Wickford – but not Wickford in Essex, but rather the other Wickford established in the USA on Rhode Island, which came into being when some one-time residents of Wickford in Essex named an area of Rhode Island in the USA in memory of their origins.
