I was joined as usual by Margaret Mills who today told us all about an Essex born preacher named Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
It was said that he used to draw such huge crowds of people wanting to hear him preach that special halls often had to be hired.
Apparently he was known widely as the PRINCE OF PREACHERS, as reportedly listeners to his sermons were often left spellbound.
