Two years ago I was pleased to help out on a couple of routes with the Lions Club of Billericay’s Santa’s Sleigh as it progressed around the streets of Billericay. Bucket in hand, along with other volunteers I made doorstep collections of donations to The Lion’s charity fund. This was great fun and we even found a street party along the way waiting for us to arrive!
The Lions have been working within the community for over 40 years, helping local causes and those less fortunate, having fun whilst helping others and raising money for deserving causes.
This Saturday 6th November 9am-1pm the Lions Club of Billericay are holding a coffee morning at The Reading Rooms, High St, Billericay, when you can go along and meet the members, volunteer to help, or enquire about joining this great local and international group.
