Do you fancy a take-away?

With the possibility of restaurants re-opening any time soon, and failing that, an abundance of take-aways readying themselves to take up the slack, we concentrated on looking at eating establishments today.

Planning it’s big launch on Saturday is GORDON RAMSAY’s new burger bar.

But as you’d expect from Gordon Ramsey, this is a burger bar with a difference.

Indeed the man himself says, “Trust me, this is going to be a burger experience like no other as we’ve really elevated our patties using the most incredible mix of the UK’s best cuts of meat.”

And if you’re paying £80 for a burger, it had better be something special!

The so-called WAGYU Burger boasts a beef patty, seared Wagyu sirloin, truffle Pecorino cheese, cep mayonnaise and fresh black truffle.

Also on offer is a Lobster & Shrimp Burger for £42 or you can go cheaper and get an American Burger for £21;  hotdogs are also on offer for £21 – but note if you want fries, that’s an extra £6 please!

Well the new eatery is located in Harrods.

And just last month Gordon Ramsay was busy promoting his LONDON HOUSE take-away menu with fish and chips served in a carton along with a portion of mushy peas, tartar sauce, a slice of lemon and 7 chips, coming in at £18.50.

Said Gordon of his offering, “You can’t beat a London House classic…. and this one’s to go!!”

Well maybe, but if his prices are a bit outside your league, how about some offerings from the ANUS KITCHEN?

Well that’s not the name the establishment is supposed to have  – it should be Anu’s Kitchen but an unfortunate misprint on the leaflet produced by Foodhub to advertise the new Indian food take away, is to blame. What’s more even the picture on the leaflet is not their food.

But to add insult to injury a similar misprint on the company’s website has resulted in ANU’s PARTY PACKAGE being described as the ANUS PARTY PACKAGE!

Sounds like a “bum” deal!

The restaurant owner explained that his wife’s nickname was ANU and as she was the main chef it was decided to name the establishment after her.

Elsewhere, another takeaway has also caused a bit of controversy, but for a very different reason.

Mama Mia’s Pizza and Kebab takeaway in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, was displaying a sign banning people from entering their establishment whilst wearing a mask.

The sign had read: “Masks are for: hooligans, vigilantes, superheroes, criminals and asbestos workers. Remove mask before entering. Thank you.”

The sign has since been removed as it was considered to be ‘inappropriate’.

Seems you just can’t win.

I’ll see you once more tomorrow,
Scott
