Georgia is our youngest-ever host of Drive Time at the age of just 21

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

We’ve had a few people come and go to the station’s large roster of presenters recently, including some major changes on daytimes with the appointment of Georgia Frampton to our Drive Time show.

Georgia is a Brentwood resident and has actually been with us since July last year, when she was covering occasional shows for us in between her university studies.

She has now graduated with a degree in History from the University of Warwick, and was also a leading light in RAW 1251AM, the university’s award-winning student radio station, where she presented a Breakfast show and weekly music show as well as being Deputy Head of Music.

Georgia has a great music knowledge and will be playing not just current music but listeners’ favourites from the last few decades too – and there will also be plenty of interviews with musicians, authors, artists and community groups as well.

At 21 years old Georgia is our youngest ever permanent Drive Time host since we started broadcasting in 1996. And that means as I type this I realise that she wasn’t even born when I started the station …!

You can hear Georgia every weekday between 3pm and 6pm, and highlights of her shows including community interviews can be heard again at phoenixfm.com.

And – we’ve got another familiar face returning too! Bob Simpson is back after a break of 18 months and will be returning to the 1-3 show every Wednesday lunchtime.
