Sophie uses her business knowledge to help with changes

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

We’ve launched a brand new business show on Phoenix FM this week – The Owl Hour with Sophie Newbould.

The idea for the show came from Sophie who wanted to use her business knowledge to help businesses who may be struggling with the effects of lockdown.

She wants listeners to understand the interviewee’s problems and challenges and how they can overcome them.

The show will also raise the voice of the vulnerable, to make sure no person in society is forgotten or overlooked – sharing stories and raising awareness brings our communities together and helps others realise they are not alone.

Sophie has many years experience as a qualified complex projects lawyer, working on projects with the Home Office, the Foreign Office, the Met Office and the Police and has her own City practice, Newboulds.

The first edition features Sophie chatting to architect Charles Biss and tech startup founder Simon Hawkins, as well as tips and reflections from business growth strategist Oli Bramford and beautician Teresa Kennedy.

The show currently appears as a regular podcast which can be heard on www.phoenixfm.com – we are looking to move this up to a regular broadcast slot on FM in the near future too.
