Friday Night Extra 20.9.19 with Rob Saggs from Chesshomeless.

Rob returned to the show to give us an update on the work of Chesshomeless.

The charity was originally launched 21 years ago by a group of churches in Chelmsford providing accommodation during the winter in church halls. The ministry has grown over the years where 30 beds can be provided throughout the year. There are many ways to support the work, which now includes working with those on the streets in Maldon, Epping and Braintree as well as Chelmsford. Over 80 people are involved in regular volunteering alongside the 19 paid staff. Registration is now available for the sleepout on Friday 22nd of November in the grounds of Chelmsford cathedral. If you would like to know more about the charity and support the work in anyway, phone 01245 281104 email: administration@chesshomeless.org
