That little padlock signifies an encrypted link between you and the web-site you’re using – Essential if you are handing over payment details and other personal information. From a site owner’s perspective, you’ll find that having an “HTTPS” website will significantly help with SEO (search engine optimization) as well as give assurance to the end-user.
