The First Phoenix Family Business Networking Event

Thursday 12th April saw the first of the Phoenix Family Business Networking Event take place at the Shenfield Cricket Club. This was an opportunity for some inter-business networking and a chance to find out what’s happening in our local business community.

Our Drive presenter, Charlie Davy, spoke with a number of attendees to find out a bit more about their business and what they get out of a local networking event like this:

Kimberley from Define Beauty: Based at the Holiday Inn at Brook Street.

Brian from Rainer Hughes: Spoke about being an advertiser with Phoenix FM and having close links with businesses in our area.

Charlotte from Utility Warehouse: Helping you to reduce your energy costs as well as save on phone/broadband.

Sheila from Mellow Moments Minfulness Training for dealing with stress, anxiety and emotion control. E-Mail

Ruth from the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary spoke about the range of animals and how it’s a great attraction for all the family.

Vidushi from Tastefully Yours, authentic & fresh Indian home-cooked food.

Sandy from Legal Mediation: family, workplace and civil mediation.

Caroline from Magnetix: Stainless-steel and copper jewellery.

Sen from Sen Fitness Professional: Helping you with fitness, nutrition and well-being.

At the end of the event, I spoke with Steve Roach, our Sales and Marketing Director about success of the event and how it hopes to be a regular thing.

About Charlie Davy

I started off where many young radio upstarts begin - Hospital Radio. I kept my hand in presenting on and off professionally over the years but found that the technical side appealed more to me. I originally got involved with Phoenix FM just after the full-time licence was granted in 2007, presenting Drive and then coming back (on more than one occasion!) for more. Somebody must like me as I'm now back doing the Drive show once again a decade later!
