Today we heard why police in Norfolk felt they really had to act against a motorist whose vehicle had not had a valid MOT certificate since 2015.
When pulled over, the driver was found to be using a bucket for the front seat and, in the absence of a steering wheel, a pair of pliers to control the direction of travel.
Police might have been persuaded to overlook these minor infringements had it not been for the missing bumpers, front wing, headlights and a having a flat tyre!
At least he had a wheel with a tyre which has got to be a point in his favour!
In the second hour of today’s programme, Margaret Mills returned with details of a secret underground military force which existed at one time in Ashingdon, near Southend.
