Friday Night Extra 29.6.18 Music for a chilled Friday evening

No guests on the show tonight, just two hours of good music across the genres and decades.  We had a couple of tracks from Andrew Gold and learnt that Freddie Mercury sang backing vocals on the track  ‘Never let her slip away’. Patrick requested a track by Cher. Despite Jonty’s reservations we played it and reminded ourselves of the beginning of her career. She has a new film coming out. We continues our review of the album by The Beach Boys and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. We loved Disney girls but could not understand all that was added to Darlin. As this is one of Jonty’s favourite Beach Boys tracks, putting it politely, he was not impressed! Thanks to Chris for his positive comments about our music selection tonight.

Tonight’s playlist

Moody Blues – Voices in the sky

Beatles – Hey Jude – requested by Phyl

Lady Antebellum – 747

Megan O’Neill – Ghost of you
