Our film critic, Mark Searby was in the studio today taking a look at some picks for a cinema outing or a night-in DVD/Blu-Ray/Netflix+Chill…
Loveless is a Russion-language film about a separated couple who are brought together after their child goes missing.
Tad, the Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas – is a 3D animation (although the CGI isn’t up to much, according to Mark) but a good film for the youngsters this half-term holiday.
Flatliners takes the original film and develops the concept a little, but still leaves room for improvement, but perhaps more than a defribrillator can provide. Look out for Kiefer Sutherland in a different role to that of the 1990 original.
Blade Runner 2049 is the long-awaited (but did we need one?) to Ridley Scott’s 1982 epic. Starring Ryan Gosling as “K”, a replicant who works as a “Blade Runner”. Harrison Ford (eventually) appears, and the visuals/soundtrack on this deserve a decent-size screen and a good sound-system.
