Watch out, watch out, there’s a thief about!

Today we heard about some unusual thieves.

One was a dog, whilst the other had less brains that his canine counterpart, which he proved by reporting his own break-in!

Now at least the dog uses her ill-gotten gains  – money stolen from his owner’s handbag to buy back dog treats.Dog who pays fro treats

When she was just a puppy, New York based, Holly would pinch stuff out of the family’s bags, including paper money but instead of chasing her round the house to redeem her ill gotten gains, they would bribe her with treats, so when she had money in her mouth, which they obviously didn’t want her to eat, they would say, ‘Here Holly, take the treat and give me the money,’ so it clicked in her head, if she has the money, she will get treats.”

And so she still does.

Sometimes when the family is at the dinner table, she will quietly walk up to one of them and just gently place a dollar on their laps waiting for her treat in return!

Meanwhile from Kent comes news of the thief who alerted police to his own break-in.

Now there’s bright for you!

It seems that our hero, who lived on the same street as the house he broke into, was midway through his activities when he heard the owners coming home.

He immediately  fled out of the French windows, called 999 and told officers that he had spotted a criminal breaking into the house and had followed him in.

Unfortunately for him, his explanation for his fingerprints being all over the TV, that he must have touched the set as he followed the criminal into the house, was not believed, possibly due to his 34 previous convictions!

See you next week,
Scott
