Last April I was joined on the show by Shelley Simmonds from Billericay. Shelley’s four year old son Fraser has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
On 3rd June Shelley and Fraser and some special friends climbed mount Snowdon to raise awareness and funds into research for the disease. Shelley carried Fraser to the summit in a specially adapted rucksack.
Shelley returned today to tell us how the climb went, you can listen here –
To date, Shelley and Fraser’s challenge has raised an amazing £12,000 for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and it’s not to late to donate. If you would like to help in Shelley and Fraser’s fight against the disease, Shelley’s Just Giving page is here.
You can find Fraser and Friends on Facebook here.
