First up tonight I was joined in the studio by author, stand-up comic and fellow community radio DJ Nick Pearmain. Nick has just published the first of a series of horror-themed books entitled Westspring, and is currently writing the follow-up. We chatted all about that as well as his work in stand-up, radio and charity work as part of the NickJackHE organisation, who you can find out more about here. Next up I was joined in the studio by local singer-songwriter Kieron Liley. Kieron recently released his first EP, Tales of the Heartbreak Kid (available from his Bandcamp page), with a plan to release more new material later this year. He’ll be fitting recording around a busy summer of events – his next local shows include the Fiddler’s Elbow in London on June 6th and the Undersolo on June 22nd.
