The Velvet Tree is a dynamic acoustic/rock band from Essex exclusively performing original material to appreciative audiences all over.
Comprised of Neil Raymond (bass), Joe Reid (drums), Marc Howson (vocals & guitar) and Tarek Papworth (vocals, guitar, Harmonica), The Velvet Tree focuses on compelling rhythms and melodies in their music, attempting to lead the listener on unexpected lyrical journeys and leaving them with a story to consider.
In 2013 the band signed a deal with Soundz Studios in Southend on Sea to produce an album, “Pockets Full Of Rain” – following the success of that project they are collaborating once again on a follow up album, “Everything Is Everywhere #SoWhyBother” which is due for release in the summer of 2016….
