OASIS – TOP 20

It’s April and there is plenty of SUNNNNNNNNSHIIIIIIINNNNEEEEE!!!
After promoting and voting, it’s finally here. PhoenixFM’s listeners top 10 Oasis tunes.
What Oasis means to me, is that Noel Gallagher’s songwriting was so pivotal to me in my teenage years, that I went from a 13-year old loving hip hop, RnB and having a very narrow taste in music. To then singing Wonderwall at a competition with my theatre school, to playing in bands at college.
Now I have a very broad taste in music. If it wasn’t for my Godmother being an Oasis fan, I probably wouldn’t be in bands, write songs, or even be a radio presenter.
I’m indifferent regarding latest reports that Noel and Liam have made a “gentlemen’s agreement” to get back together and I love Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds (probably more than Oasis, controversially). However, the songs that they displayed from 1991 to 2009 were fantastic.
My personal top 10 included…
1. Slide Away; 2. Waiting For The Rapture; 3. The Importance Of Being Idle; 4. Part Of The Queue; 5. Falling Down; 6. Heroes; 7. Champagne Supernova; 8. Don’t Look Back In Anger; 9. Live Forever; 10. Morning Glory.
This is not all about me, however. this is all about you. From 20 to your number one. Here is what you have voted.
