How would you feel if when you took your date to a restaurant, she tucked into a plate full of washing-up sponges whilst you were enjoying a nice juicy rump steak? Well believe it or not, that would be the choice of dish every time for 23-year old Tyneside resident, EMMA THOMPSON. Not sure if she’d like a side order of chips to go with the sponges though, so it might be wise to factor in that cost, before going too wild with your own order. Emma has enjoyed eating bath sponges since the age of 3 but became addicted to washing-up sponges after scoffing one whilst doing the washing up 2 years ago.
It seems she especially enjoys them if they’ve been soaked overnight in apple flavoured Fairy Liquid!
Of course, being a Tuesday, Margaret Mills popped by. Her subject this week was the Essex earthquake of April 1884 which, in spite of lasting no more than 8 seconds wreaked extensive damage to the areas surrounding Colchester.

See you again next week,
