We also heard the sorry tale of the woman who has run up a mobile phone bill of almost £1200 in just 3 months by attaching “emojis” to her text messages. Unfortunately due to a setting in her phone these were sent in MMS form rather than the usual SMS format. As a result they do not generally form part of a monthly phone tariff. This is something to beware of, especially if you are using older Samsung Galaxy handsets. A cautionary tale – always check your settings and read and understand any warnings your handset might “flag up”!
