On today’s show we heard about the beggar who seems to have managed to persuade many of London’s rich and famous to part with their money to help put a roof over his head – even though he actually has a £300 a month apartment in Lancashire. Now he’s been uncovered he may have to get real work, but given his enterprising nature he should not find that too hard.

We also heard about the nun who shocked her order by giving birth to a son. So far as I know she didn’t try to claim this incident as another virgin birth but perhaps her “habits” might not have been all they were supposed to be. Last year another nun named her son after the Holy Father, the Pope himself although I don’t think this was intended to suggest anything impropriety!
