After spending Thursday afternoon and evening at the O2 in London for my graduation, it got me thinking about what artists will be performing there next year. So on tonight’s show I gave details on dates and locations of some artists who have upcoming tours in 2015. Below is a recap:
Olly Murs
Olly’s last tour was back in 2012 and was called ‘Right Place Right Time’ which supported the record of the same name.
Now with his fourth studio album, ‘Never Been Better’ which has just been released he will be touring this album with 14 dates in March, April, and May of next year.
Locations include: Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Belfast, Newcastle, Nottingham and Dublin
Olly Murs will be in London on the 4th and 5th May at the O2 Arena.
S Club 7
90’s band S Club 7 reunited to do a special performance for Children In Need, but that is not all. They are also doing a 13 date tour entitled ‘Bring It all Back’ after one of their much loved songs.
Locations include: Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Bournemouth Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
S Club 7 will be in London on the 16th and 17th May at the O2 Arena.
Ariana Grande
Pop Star Ariana Grande released her debut album ‘Yours Truly’ in 2013 and is now a globally recognised singer. She has toured the world as a headline act as well as a support act for Justin Bieber but is now going to be headlining her first UK tour in June.
Locations include: Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.
Ariana will be in London on the 1st June at the O2 Arena.
Clean Bandit
Clean Bandit had a autumn UK tour recently finishing at the beginning of this month and they will be back on stage in March 2015 with another tour.
Locations include: Manchester, Cambridge, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Clean Bandit will be in London on the 13th March at the Alexandra Palace.
Mcbusted
After a successful tour this year as a super-group Mcbusted, made up of bands Busted and Mcfly, the boys will be touring again next year to show off their first album together simply entitled ‘Mcbusted’.
Locations include: Glasgow, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Dublin and Belfast.
Mcbusted will be in London on the 4th and 5th of Aprile at the O2 Arena.
The Script
The Script have already released a few tracks off their fourth album entitled ‘No Sound without Silence’ and they will have a tour to support this album. They will also be supported by Labrinth
Locations include: Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Birmingham and Leeds.
The Script will be in London on the 13th and 14th March at the O2 Arena.
Jessie J
Scoring a Number 1 hit with the single ‘Bang Bang’, which also features Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Jessie J will be performing it along with other songs from her third studio album ‘Sweet Talker’at 7 gigs to take place in January.
Locations include: Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Jessie J will be in London on the 28th January at Brixton O2 Academy and at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on the 29th January.
John Legend
After a sell out UK tour in October 2014 John Legend is doing a summer tour apparently in bigger venues so more of his fans get to come! The American soul star will perform a total of 5 dates during the tour.
Locations include: Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds.
John Legend will be in London on the 25th June at the O2 arena.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is planning a huge world tour in 2015, which includes three summer dates in the UK. Supporting her number one album ‘1989’, The 1989 World Tour will get underway in North America in May and will then travel to Europe in June.
UK Locations include: Manchester and Glasgow.
Taylor Swift will be in London at British Summer Time event in Hyde Park on the 27th June.
The Vamps
Being a bit different and announcing their tour live on TwitCam, The Vamps confirmed they will tour around the UK with 10 dates. They will be supported by fellow boy band Union J plus special guests.
Locations include: Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Birmingham and Sheffield.
The Vamps will be in London on the 2nd of May at The O2 Arena.
5 seconds of summer
After supporting One Direction’s ‘Take Me Home’ world tour in 2013, Aussie Band 5 Seconds of Summer are now set to headline their own European tour! With 3 extra dates added the boys will be performing 13 dates on their ‘Rock Out With Your Socks Out’ tour.
Locations include: Belfast, Newcastle, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool.
5 Seconds of Summer will be in London on the 12th or 13th June at Wembley Arena.
Usher
Usher will be touring in March with his The UR Experience Tour which will be in support of his forthcoming eighth studio album ‘UR’. He will also be supported by Nico and Vinz.
Locations include: Nottingham Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, Dublin, Manchester and Birmingham.
Usher will be in London on the 26th March at The O2 Arena.
Strictly Come Dancing
Next year’s multi-million pound live tour will take place throughout January and February and will feature celebrity contestants, much-loved routines from the current series, plus new and exclusive performances, breathtaking costumes and supersized glitterballs.
Locations include: Birmingham, Nottingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds Manchester and Sheffield.
The Strictly stars will be in London on5th and 6th February at the SSE Arena Wembley and also on the 7th and 8th of February at The O2 Arena.
X Factor
The annual X Factor live tour will take place at the beginning of next year in February, and will conclude in March. The contestants of this year will perform classic songs and memorable hits from the series at a total of 16 venues around the UK.
Locations include: Belfast, Bournemouth, Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool, Cardiff and Birmingham.
The X Factor contestants will be in London on the 20th and 21st of March.
Take That
From 5 to 4 to occasionally 5 and now down to 3 members, Take That have accounted they will be touring as a trio to support their forthcoming album entitled ‘III’. Gary, Mark and Howard will be performing without Jason and Robbie as Jason decided he wanted to leave the band and Robbie wasn’t able to record or perform with them due to his own tour commitments and the birth of his 2nd baby.
Locations include: Glasgow, Belfast, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Sheffield.
Take That will be in London from the 4th June until the 9th June at The O2 Arena.
The Foo Fighters
American alternative Rock Band The Foo Fighters recently released their latest and eighth studio album, ‘Sonic Highways’ and celebrated 20 years together. They have set up a tour for early 2015, that’ll see them heading Australia and New Zealand.But don’t worry fans, they don’t expect you to travel there! They will be coming to the UK to play in 5 stadiums. Royal Blood and Iggy Pop will be performing too as support acts.
Locations include: Manchester, Sheffield, Sunderland and Edinburgh.
The Foo Fighters will be in London on the 19th and 20th of June at Wembley.
Macy Gray
Macy Gray is one of the most successful R&B singers of the 21st century, with worldwide record sales of over 10,000,000 and a triple platinum record. She will be touring in February for her latest and eighth studio album, ‘The Way’.
Locations include: Manchester, Glasgow, and Birmingham.
Macy Gray will be in London on the 10th February at the O2 Sheppard’s Bush Empire and also in Basingstoke on the 10th February.
