Another “bonus” show for me this week. And what a bonus it was as I was joined in the studio by a radio legend – Keith Rogers and I was also assisted by Jess Davies who is on work experience with us for a couple of weeks. Hopefully Jess’s time with us will pass off less dramatically than that of another 15-year old girl from Nuneaton who, because she was bored with work and wanted to go home, set fire to the store where she was temporarily employed. Now that’s something Keith knows all about as well, since whilst he was working aboard the “pirate” radio ship, Radio Nordsee International, a rival organisation placed an incendiary device aboard, resulting in the crew having to take to the lifeboats!
We also learnt about accusations of “doping” being thrown about following this year’s Cow Milking Championships. It seems that the average yield is 2 litres of milk in two minutes but this year no less than 3 contestants achieved yields of over 7 litres. Go on pull the “udder” one.
Right I’m off. See you again next week,
Scott
