Paul Cook at the Brentwood Festival

Brad Acton spoke to Paul Cook just after he came off stage at the Brentwood Festival having performed with Jim Green on the acoustic stage.

2014-07-20 Paul Cook and Jim Green 01

Brad: How did it go today?

Paul: It was great. I enjoyed the set and the crowd were very receptive. It’s always good here, I think it’s the fourth time I’ve played this festival. I’ve played all three stages now too.

The crowd are always up for it and despite the weather, we were lucky that a few of them stuck around for us.

Brad: Was today’s gig part of a tour?

Paul: We’ve been all over the place, we’ve been on the Kent circuit, the Cambridge festival, we’ve done stuff on the BBC. We gig constantly, three or four gigs a week. I’m very friendly with (organisers) Chris Andrews and Graham Okey so we keep coming back.

Brad: What have you got planned for the future?

Paul: In the next few hours I’m playing in Greenwich tonight! Then I’ve got the Cambridge Rock festival, we’re focusing on that at the moment.

Brad: Where can we hear more of your stuff?
