We were at tonight’s launch of Essex’s newest ale at the Golden Fleece in Chelmsford, where none other than England captain and Essex legend Alastair Cook was on hand to pull the first pint!
The Brentwood Brewing Company have launched a special beer in aid of his benefit year – the accurately-named Alastair Cook Benefit Beer. All money raised will be divided between four causes close to Alastair’s heart – The David Randall Foundation, Chance To Shine, MIND and The Professional Cricketers’ Association Benevolent Fund.
Alastair told us a bit about the charities he’s supporting this year and also what he thought of Brentwood’s newest ale.
