Keeping to a similar theme, albeit in more modern times, and away from these shores, we heard that residents of the Ukrainian city of Donetsk, the scene of violent clashes over links with Russia,  have launched an on line appeal to link up with the UK. And no, this is not an April Fool spoof, it is absolutely true! So does this mean that we must consider sending in troops to protect these citizens from the Russian Bear? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
