A cake that’s a cut above the average

In the first hour of today’s show we heard some headline news about an American bride who to celebrate her wedding to a horror film fan executed a wedding cake in the shape of both her and her husband’s severed heads. The heads were placed on a bloodstained, but otherwise white board with a banner reading “Til Death Us Do Part”. Sounds lovely!

Later in the show I was again joined by CARL MERRY with the second instalment of our new series, ESSEX TALES. This week Carl related the story of Wivenhoe based shipbuilder and smuggler, Phillip John Sainty.
